Expique Booking Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”)

This Agreement was last modified on Oct 7, 2022 (to add different T&C for tours with private AC vehicles). The previous agreement is available here.

With these Terms & Conditions we aim to be as friendly as possible, but also protect ourselves from losing money on bookings that are cancelled or changed at short notice. 2020 - 2022 have been dreadful years and COVID still impacts our business and travel plans of our guests. We try to be flexible but please remember that our guides still have a right to be paid if they have reserved their schedule for you.

This may seem like the boring part of this website but please read these Booking Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before booking any products on www.expique.com (“the Site”) operated by Expique Co. Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”). This Agreement sets forth the legally binding terms and conditions any travel products bought on www.expique.com.

Prices

All prices quoted are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change until full payment is received and confirmation voucher(s) are issued. Prices that are quoted include all taxes and fees unless stated otherwise.

Availability

The travel products and services sold through this site are subject to availability and can be withdrawn without notice. Tour is confirmed when full payment is received and confirmation voucher has been sent.

Payment

Full payment is required to confirm a booking. All payments are required before the start of the tour.

Cancellation and Changes

1) Walking Tours and Tuk Tuk Tours within Bangkok

This category includes any tour that does not require the hire of a private air conditioned vehicle for the group. We are as flexible as possible as we do not have commitment to 3rd party suppliers (except our own guides and tuk tuk drivers)

Cancellations

(Involuntary) On the rare occasions when we, Expique, must cancel a trip, all payments received to date will be 100% refunded, which constitutes full settlement. There will be absolutely no deductions.

(Voluntary) If you, the client, must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the following formula:

• Cancellation more than 48 hours before departure time: Full Refund - we hold the right to deduct payment processing fees of up to 5%
• Cancellation 24 – 48 hours before departure time: 80% refund
• Cancellation 2 – 24 hours before departure time: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 2 hours before departure time or No show: No refund

Date Changes

Guests are allowed to change date for free up to 24 hours in advance. Less that 24 hours in advance we have to charge a change fee as we still have a duty to pay our guides who have reserved their day for us.

• Change of date more than 24 hours before departure time: Free
• Change of date 2 – 24 hours before departure time: 1,000THB per booking
• Change of date less than 2 hours before departure time: 1,500THB per booking

2) Day and multiday trips out of Bangkok or tours which require rental of private air-conditioned vehicles

This category includes any tour that we have commitment to 3rd party suppliers (except our own guides and tuk tuk drivers) and therefore we need to ensure we cover their cancellation policies. Specifically these include tours with private air-conditioned vehicles.

Cancellations

(Involuntary) On the rare occasions when we, Expique, must cancel a trip, all payments received to date will be 100% refunded, which constitutes full settlement. There will be absolutely no deductions.

(Voluntary) If you, the client, must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the following formula:

• Cancellation more than 5 days before departure time: Full Refund - we hold the right to deduct payment processing fees of up to 5%
• Cancellation 2-4 days before departure time: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 2 days (48 hours) before departure time or No show: No refund

Date Changes

Guests are allowed to change date for free up to 24 hours in advance. Less that 24 hours in advance we have to charge a change fee as we still have a duty to pay our guides who have reserved their day for us.

• Change of date more than 5 days before departure time: Free
• Change of date 2 – 4 days before departure time: 1,000THB per booking
• Change of date less than 2 days (48 hours) before departure time: 2,000THB per booking

Governing Law

This Agreement (and any further rules, polices, or guidelines incorporated by reference) shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

Changes To This Agreement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions by posting the updated terms on the Site. For existing bookings the Terms and Conditions will be governed by the version at the time of booking.
