The festive period is almost upon us and for many it is a great excuse to splash out on a lavish Christmas dinner. Most of Bangkok’s top hotels and restaurants all have special menu and offers.
Here we list some of the best and most interesting Christmas Dinners and Lunches in Bangkok. The most elaborate are the big buffets with free-flow wine or Champagne, but several also offer set menu options. Whilst the main focus of this article is on Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Lunch, many restaurants also offer special menus for the month of December.

Both restaurants, Phra Nakhon and Côte will stage feasts for families and friends, including Christmas Eve dinners and Christmas Day lunches. These will be accompanied by a live band, special gifts and even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

The Anatara Siam is known for gastronomical events and great Sunday brunches, so definitely a great choice to celebrate Christmas. Plus, given its proximity to Bangkok’s main shopping area you can spend the remainder of your day checking out lights and indulging in Xmas shopping!

If you simply want a good Christmas meal at a reasonable price many of Bangkok’s international restaurants provide the perfect alternative. For example, one of our favorite’s is Kai New Zealand (Sathorn Soi 12), who always have a special Christmas menu.
Alternatively try pubs like Hemmingway’s (Sukhumvit Soi 11), The Robin Hood on Sukhumvit Soi 33/1 (BTS Phrom Phong) for a British Xmas, Bourbon Street on Sukhumvit Soi 63 (BTS Ekkamai) or Roadhouse BBQ on Rama 4 Road (BTS Sala Daeng/MRT Silom) for an American take, or Bei Otto (at new location in Huay Kwang) for a German Christmas.
The Shangri-La is going all out for Christmas Eve this year (but do also have a good value Christmas day buffet.
