Made by Legacy market: 11-12 July

This Brooklyn-inspired flea market, which has previously taken place at Hualamphong train station, strikes again, this time at luxury mall Central Embassy. Open from 1pm until midnight on both days, supposedly in an as-yet-unseen part of the shopping centre, expect Made by Legacy to deliver Instagram-tastic antique memorabilia and more. 120 baht admission fee; BTS Phloen Chit; www.madebylegacy.com.

Cirque du Soleil: 29 July-03 August

The world-famous Cirque du Soleil circus performance hits Thailand for the very first time, at Impact Muang Thong Thani. More than 100 performers put on an acrobatic show to remember. Matinee and evening shows available; tickets from 1,000 to 5,000 baht at www.thaiticketmajor.com.

Lyrical Lunacy Spoken Word: 05 July

Throw your hat into the ring with your best ‘jungle’ themed poetry or music performance, or just come along to this open mic night and enjoy others’ contributions. The Yiwarra Kuju exhibition at Silom’s Thavibu Gallery features 14 contemporary pieces by Aboriginal Australian artists, previously showcased in Australia. 11am-7pm (closed Sundays); BTS Surasak; www.thavibu.com.
