Children
If you ask us you may be pleasantly surprised. At the moment the minimum age of join in tours is 12, but we will happily create a private tour for you if you have younger children and will take this into account when quoting for the tour.
At the moment the minimum age on our join in tours is 12 years old. This is not because we don’t like children, but rather we often find for some of our tours it is better to do them as a private tour if you have young children so that you can go at your own pace and adapt the tour accordingly.
Weather
Predicting the weather is a dangerous thing but we are pretty certain that it will not snow in Bangkok!!!
Walking Tours
There is no hiding the fact that Bangkok can get hot and for some people it will be too hot. However, if you are of moderate fitness then you should be able to survive. We do try to keep the bulk of the walking to morning or late afternoon to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Our tours have plenty of stops (you will only be walking 20-30% of the time) which means you can take it relatively easy in the heat.
Our walking tours are typically 2-4 km in distance and are therefore suitable for people with moderate fitness. Because of this we do have a minimum age of 12 on our walking join in walking tours.
On a walking tour you get to explore the backstreets of Bangkok and we will take you down paths where cars can’t go! In these areas you will encounter locals and the local way of life. By walking you get the chance to go slow (can stop anywhere to take photos) and interact with locals along the way.
We were given 2 legs for a reason!
Payment and Refunds
Payment is handled through our secure online payment platform (provided by Paypal), which accepts most major credit cards and Paypal. However, American Express (AMEX) is currently not accepted. All data transfers are encrypted and there are several anti-fraud measures in place to ensure that Expique (or any other parties) cannot access any credit card information or other sensitive data.
If you need to cancel we offer a full refund as long as you let us know at least 48 hours in advance. If you want to switch the day of the tour you can also do so up to 24 hours in advance (but we will need to reconfirm availability for your new chosen date)
We request payment in a advance in order to guarantee your space on our tour as we do have strict limits on the numbers of people on a tour. On some occasions when customers book last minute we may allow you to pay at the start of the tour but in general we require payment in advance.
