Big Fish Bangkok River Music Festival: 11-20 September

Big Fish River Music Festival in Bangkok, Thailand

Opera, classical, swing and more are coming to the Chao Phraya, as luxury hotels along Bangkok’s majestic river host performances of music from around the world. It all takes place as part of the Big Fish Bangkok River Music Festival, with free boats being laid on to get you between the events at properties like the Mandarin Oriental and the Shangri-La. Rediscovering Forgotten Thai Masters of Photography: 19 September-31 October

Long-since unsung heroes of Thai photography are set to be thrown back into their deserved spotlight at this highlight of the ongoing Photo Bangkok 2015 festival. The opening reception on 19 September will be preceded by a talk between 3-5pm by Pornsak Sakdaenprai, one of the only two surviving photographers to be featured in the exhibition. The Comedy Club Bangkok Anniversary Show: 25 September

Friday 25 September marks the one-year anniversary of Bangkok’s first English-language comedy club, and they’re celebrating with stand-up by comedian David Davis from the US and with Canadian Drew McCreadie.
