- Pick up from hotel is only available for private tour. We customize pick up method based on location to avoid the unpredictable traffic. From some hotels we recommend our guide to escort you on the Subway to our normal tuk tuk meeting point (at Itsaraphap MRT Station). Our route however is designed to avoid traffic.
- Our tours usually start at 08:30am, but for a private tour we can adjust from early morning to the afternoon
- We allow children under 10 years old on private tours and can customize it to the needs of the children.
The concept:
This tour is designed to explore the temple and a local market on the Thonburi side, the former capital city before Bangkok. We combine 2 iconic temples and a local market where you will experience the local tasty food as well as exploring the city by Tuk Tuk.
The Plan:
Meet your guide and driver at MRT Itsaraphap Station.
After that you will head towards Wat Arun Temple, The Temple of Dawn where your guide will show you around the temple main halls and iconic stupa of Bangkok.
Then the tuk tuk will bring you to Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, home of the Giant Gold Buddha image. Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is one of the old temples established in 1610. We will visit the massive Buddha and explore the museum inside the temple's white stupa.
Next, the tuk tuk will take us to a local market Talad Phlu which is full of local food and many tasty snacks. The order of the stops may change based on what makes the most sense on the day.
At the end of the tour the guide will help you get to the nearest BTS Skytrain Station or guide you to where you need to go. (Exclude Ticket).
For most of the tour we will get around by tuk tuk and while we cannot promise it, we will hopefully encounter very little traffic.

Drop off: The final stop is Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, after that tuk tuk driver will take you to Wutthakad BTS Station, the easiest way to go back in town (exclude ticket)
Dress Code: To show respect you should not wear shorts above knees and do not wear sleeveless shirts or show shoulders.
Getting to the meeting point: Please allow plenty of time and aim to arrive 15 minutes early. The traffic can be bad, especially in the morning, and we suggest you take public transport and avoid taxi where possible. If you have any issues please call us.
Minimum Age: There is a minimum age of 10 years old for this tour. This aimed to maintain the group dynamics. For families with small children we encourage a private tour (we can start earlier and customize) or consider our Family Canal and Tuk Tuk Adventure.
Moderate amounts of walking are required: The tour also includes walks in the temples and market. Customers who have walking difficulty or wheelchair needed are recommended a private tour so we can customize the tour to suite your requirement.
If it rains it is more fun: We run the tour throughout the year and have never had to cancel a tour due to rain. If it rain we have ponchos, rain covers and umbrellas. You may get a little wet but if you bring a positive attitude you may discover it is even more memorable:
This is an alcohol free tour and please be aware that it is illegal to drink in the tuk tuk. We reserve the right to stop the tour if there is drunken behaviour. We do provide soft drinks throughout the tour.
Travel by Tuk Tuk:
- - The main mode of transport is tuk tuk. Tuk tuks are small fun vehicles that are open air. However, some people do find them noisy, hot and open to traffic fumes.
- - This tour is a day time tour when the temperature is warm. We find most people enjoy it but are aware that some people will not. Also for people with less mobility getting in and out of a tuk tuk can be harder but we will happily help those who have problems.
- - Normally there will be 2 people per tuk tuk, However, when odd number of passengers there may be 3 people per tuk tuk.
